Day 1.


Begin the journey to Maria Island by catching the ferry from Triabunna where we will stock up on any last minute supplies. On arrival, choose from a selection of stunning short walks, each offering its enchanting vistas and experiences. You can hike, explore convict ruins, enjoy wildlife spottings, swim, sunbathe, and unwind here amidst the stunning surroundings. 


Your accommodation for the night will be a the Penitentiary where dinner will be included. Enjoy a laid-back Aussie BBQ style dinner that's perfect for sharing stories and laughter with your new & old friends. Spend the rest of the evening perched by the campfire with toasted marshmallows for dessert. (Feel free to bring your own food, more accommodation information can be found at the end of the bottom of the page)


Day 2. 

After breakfast, our morning commences with a refreshing walk along the serene shores before departing for Spring Mill Bay for an interesting afternoon full of agricultural activities.

*There is no electricity in the Penitentiary rooms and the toilet block is separate but nearby*

  • Torch or lamp (no candles please)
  • Cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery
